Edit: Sorry, in my previous post I was actually referring to the Hellboy review from the Australian version of Empire which gave the film 4 stars (the Brit edition only gave it three). Never mind what I said. ... Read More

"Since Empire didn't exactly adore the first Hellboy why all the fascination over the sequel?"
They gave the first movie 4 stars (meaning excellent) and a fairly glowing review. They may not have called it classic but it's not like they rated it badly. In any case del Toro has become hot shit since Pan's Labyrinth so a little extra interest is to be expected. ... Read More

| yet another great flick for 08' |
08 is promising some amazing flicks and judging from the feature above Hellboy looks like its going to rock, and hopefully appeal to those who weren't convinced about the first (which personally i really enjoyed!) movie. Del Toro imaginative and visonary approach to his movies just leaves you warm with expectation. I'm so excited to see what happens when he hooks up with Peter and Fran on the Hobbit movies. Pitty thats not an 08 release!!! ... Read More

| Great Scoop. |
Hell Boy looks a lot slimmer than in the first film, the monsters look great, very inventive almost Juet and Caro style but with Del Toro's own imagination on top, thanks to Del Toro for giving us a look behind the scenes and well done to Chris for building a strong friendship and trust with the filmmaker, to get better access than most other film mags or tv shows have. ... | Stunning |
This will be without a doubt stunning. Possibly the best comic book movie ever. Guilermo Del Toro is a true visionary and should be hailed as such. I hope this wins best special effects at next years oscars cos it looks like it rivals LOTR for sheer ingenuity.

Hmm, looks good. The first film was a bit of a Marmite phenomenon (you loved it or hated it), but as a lover of the first film, if not a fan of the comics, i hope that this can recreate that same atmosphere. Fingers crossed! ... Read More
