Enough with the fucking re-makes already.. Sequels is what we want man.. Jason X was cool. Freddy v Jason, cool. RE-makes just don't work. I have every Friday movie, every Nightmare, every Halloween, every Texas Chainsaw, every Chucky.. es true! If I was makeing this i'd have kept the serious tone they're going for. It is meant to be v.dark and unlike the others. They are meant to be going for intensity like Hills Have Eyes (06). I reckon it will do the job like the TCM remake, be a solid genre film. Only Dunes do seem to be putting effort into this so I holding out that this may be the first LEGIT well made Friday film. Even the casting is pretty stellar for Friday picture. Haha, Supernatural and OC residents doing battle with Vorhees. More

I could go either way though, I mean Nispel will make it look good, but I while I liked FvJ I never loved it and it's got the same writers. However the duo did say their original script for FvJ was a straight horror but Ronny Yu made changes. More

Er no they arn't. The film takes place present day, yeah it's a reboot and will focus on the murders of 123 and 4 but like I said it's about a guy investigating the murders who I assume the fella from Supernatural will be playing. The girl who just got cast is a councilor. More

Well, I did say further up that they were re-starting the series from Part 3 rather than part 1, which is essentially what they are doing (for those who don't know, Jason didn't get his famous hockey mask till the third film).

This film is NOT a remake. It's a new start but recognizes that the other films happened.
The writers and producers have said in numerous interviews the film won't be an origin story, Jason is killing at the very start of this film. The character this actress plays is called Whitney. The story is meant to concenrn a documentary crew investigating the Jason myth, although teen councilours will feature.....AND it's not going to be filmed in a docu style before everyone starts bloody screami More
