Sony Pictures has just informed us that Quantum of Solace has a new UK release date. It had recently been set to hit British cinemas on November 6, but that date has come forward October 31. So you can get your next fix of Bond goodness a week early and go dressed as a witch, pumpkin or other Halloween-themed whathaveyou.

UPDATE: We've just checked with Sony and it seems that the US release is still set for November 7. So, sorry to American readers, but you get to see everything before us Brits, so let us have this one.

The 22nd Bond film is currently shooting under the watchful eye of Marc Forster.

YEAH!
Oh my! Halloween Daniel Craig?! Yes, bring it on! I'm glad that they have brought it forward, November will be filled with Harry Potter and other such films. At least we get it first before the Americans, it is after all ours. Can't wait, jumping up and down right now screaming at the top of my voice! More

Dear God I hope they don't rush this film. This film could could go either way. 1. A great follow up to a great film or 2. a poorly made action film with total lack of characterization. I hope its the first one. More

Can't wait to get out there hey. Good Bond.
Got used to the titloe now, it was same with Nintendos Wii for me, I got used to saying it out loud pretty soon and it's perfect for what's it's all about.I got feeling this will be too (I was disappointed trhat Octopussy was a person and not what I expected). Looking forward to it. More

cool. Its not really a quick turn around for the movie. If it did start in January then its had a 7 or eight months of production which is fine. More

There seems to be an awfully quick production/turnaround time on this particular movie. Didn't they only start shooting in January? Hope it's not detrimental to the quality. More

Woohoo! The wait is slightly shorter. I really trust in Forster, Craig and Amalric to make this possibly better than Casino Royale. More

RE: Apart from Martin Campbell - most recent Directors have been crap
Marc Forster is hardly the unknown rookie. This will no doubt be different to Casino Royale but the the new look Bond in the hands of Craig will be just the same if not even more improved on his second outing. Forster should do a great job and im very much looking forward to this. More

RE: Apart from Martin Campbell - most recent Directors have been crap
L: Makman Apart from Martin Campbell who directed 2 of the best bond films - Goldeneye and Casino Royale, none of the other recent directors had a clue how to combine action with character scenes. It is always clear in the other Brosnan Bond films that the action scenes were directed by someone else (and the director had no consistent vision for the film eg. Tommorrow Never Dies). Vic ''Indiana 2.0'' Armstrong did a good job on his action scenes. It's the one thing you can say ab More
