Drag Justin Long To Hell!
Joining Alison Lohman in Raimi's next

10 March 2008  |  Written by Chris Hewitt  |  Source: Variety

We like Justin Long a lot here at Empire. And we like Sam Raimi a lot here at Empire. So bring the two together on a project and we're guessing that we'll like that a lot, too. We're nothing if not consistent.

Yes, Long has signed on to star in Drag Me To Hell, the Ghost House-produced movie which is not only Raimi's first film post-Spidey, but also his long-awaited return to horror.

Long will play the boyfriend of Alison Lohman's character in the film, a morality tale about the unwitting recipient of a supernatural curse. We're guessing that Lohman, who recently replaced Ellen Page in the lead role, is said unwitting recipient.

Long has, of course, become well-known for his comedic chops in recent years, but he first came to our attention in the atmospheric chiller, Jeepers Creepers, so it'll be good to see him joining Sam The Man in getting back to his scary roots.

Filming on Drag Me To Hell - which was co-written by Raimi and his brother, Ivan - starts on March 31 in LA.
