Full Iron Man Trailer Online Shiny! Source: Myspace.com
Men in lab coats with funny little half glasses have run a series of tests on us and after watching the full Iron Man trailer below science has concluded that we could not be more excited about this movie right now without becoming a danger to ourselves and the very fabric of the universe. You can also see the trailer in HD at IGN.
Really, could this look more entertaining? Robert Downey Jr has clearly nailed the role of Tony Stark and could not be having more fun. The snarky relationship between he and Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) looks like, rather than getting in the way as romance does in most superhero movies, it could be one of the best sources of comedy. Jon Favreau's comic timing in the editing also looks spot on. Love the gag of the fire extinguisher coming on after Stark smashes into one of his very expensive cars.
There are clearly still a couple of effects shots to be cleaned up, but that aside this looks like great fun. Advanced word from viewers of an unfinished print is that the film is terrific and from this we can well believe it. Fingers very firmly crossed.

I have to say Empire, from the moment you first mentioned your obsession with Iron Man I was left scratching my head a little, I mean he isn't the most famous of superheroes, and as he is so bat/radio active spider bite-less, I wondered how he could pull of the great arc of comic book movies, where the hero discovers his powers, has fun with them, and then discovers his great 'destiny'. But I have just watched that trailer. And you know what?
I stand corrected!!
In fact, Iron Man looks lik... Read More

this here Kenyan thinks this will be the most fun movie of the year, what with RDJ's quick wit, Jon Favreaus' rather exceptional handle on comedy and his knack for amped up visuals like Zathura's lavish outer space action (though toned down for families methinks...) ... Read More
It' not going to reinvent superhero genre with it's special effect (great, but nothing new), but I think this is the type of film where it's substance is in the script. It looks like it has the balance right in the tone of the film. It's not going for all out darkness, or lightheart family fun either. It has all those elements in it and by the looks of the trailer it excels on both counts. ... Read More
Sorry Bruce. You. Are. Going. Down. You couldn't even beat the Scarecrow, never mind 2 robots, 3 jets and a tank. And that's just the trailer. RDJ as Starks may be the best comic movie casting ever, apart from Snipes as Blade. ... Read More

I don't want to be cynical (but I will be): I get the impression from the reaction to this trailer that Empire readers are more succeptible than I thought. It's really not *that* impressive yet some people geuinely think it'll the best comic book movie ever. To me it look like good fun, in fact it has the potential to be a bloody good laugh, but the action doesn't look to be anything new and it's hardly like we're dealing with iconic characters here. Although I hate fanboys, i ... Read More
