Lindsay Lohan: Queen Of The Razzies
Li-Lo and Murphy get the booby prizes

Lindsay Lohan: Queen Of The Razzies

As custom dictates, The Razzies - the derisive Yin to the Oscars’ congratulatory Yang - were announced over Academy Awards weekend and stars Eddie Murphy and Lindsay Lohan have emerged as this year’s movie-town pariahs.

The 28th Annual Golden Raspberry Awards, the chucklefest which dishonours the worst flicks of the past twelve months, gave a record-breaking three Razzies each to Li-Lo and Murphy for their universally panned turns in I Know Who Killed Me and Norbit respectively. Murphy became the first performer ever to win three of the four Worst Acting trophies, named Worst Actor, Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Supporting Actress for his latex-covered multiple roles in the arse-puckerlingly bad movie.

Lohan equalled Murphy’s tally with her turn in the shocking stripper thriller. Again playing multiple characters, she was nominated for and ‘won’ a pair of Worst Actress statuettes and, for a scene in which she appears opposite herself, the troubled actress was also Razzed as the year's Worst Screen Couple.

Unsurprisingly, neither star turned up to collect their awards.

RE: RE:
It was great for self-salvation when the winners (should that be losers?) were game enough to show up themselves as a means to save face (Halle Berry picked up hers for nson, and Paul Veroheven likewise attended when lsveral), only then does it nowadays work as a great antidote to Oscar madness. But I agree, they fail to award (or even to nominate) some of the real stinkers, only focus on the easy ones to rip on.  I got a feeling that vied the Razzies on account of it making so much m... Read More

L: Greg Andrew sadly the razzies have become a parody of a great idea. it doesn't actually award the bad films it just awards the bad films that will get the razzies the most publicity. So as lohan bashing is easy they award her some, Where as tripe like Epic Movie get over looked because no headlines would be garnered from that. My god i sound like such a pompus ass but its true. sp; I completely agree, they seek the newspaper column inches and so seek the film and actors who will get... Read More
