Gambit Cast In Wolverine Movie Taylor Kitsch in the role Source: Superhero Hype
Superherohype is reporting that Taylor Kitsch (TV's Friday Night Lights) has been cast as Gambit in the forthcoming Wolverine movie, confirming months of rumours that the character will make an appearance.
Kitsch has apparently signed a three picture deal, which would suggest that Gambit, a mutant with the power to make objects explosive by charging them with kinetic energy, will play a major role, but could mean that Fox is merely hedging its bets.
It's been a long wait to see Gambit in a X-Men movie, who's been rumoured since the first film was announced. We're a little disappointed that Lost's Josh Holloway won't be playing the role, because he would have been perfect casting, but we can't wait to see him and his explosive playing cards on screen.
In other Wolverine news, Aintitcool is repeating the long circulating rumour that Ryan Reynolds will cameo in the movie as Deadpool, a lesser know smart-ass mercenary character. As we said, the story's been doing the rounds for a while, but AICN says they have it confirmed. This would be fantastic casting.
That's AWESOME. That'd be some of the best casting ever.
I've seen this Kitsch fellow in Friday Night Lights. I reckon he can do a young Sawyer quite successfully and I'll be he's cheaper than Josh Holloway.... ... Read More
e character. He's a bit of a one-trick-pony. If they had him as more of a con-man, like the Lost character Sawyer, he could be quite interesting p;
I guess the reason for having gambit is that, he cant just use his kenetic energy on the whole of wolverines adamantium skeloten...and to be fair, sabertooth is a good bad guy to put against wolverine, but for entertainment I'd rather watch a face off with gamby and wolfy. Gambit's story line with rogue, then iceman getting pissed off is probaly t... Read More

I agree that he doesnt look like he could pull off his own franchise, it will have to go down a humerous hell boy style film if they do agree to give him his freedom. Wolverine and Gambit do have their own series of comics together, so hopefully it wont be all handbags at dawn all throughh. Whats the bet gambit is an in mate with wolverine and they brake out together and team up to take down bad guys????
ha.
ctually, Wolverine has several and Gambit's got canned. T... Read More

Marvel are the purveyors of some of the finest comic book worlds created, X-Men, particularly Wolverine are the shit man! Reynolds is great casting, he's proved he can do this sort of thing in Blade Trinity which I know was shit (Dominic strange head shape Purcell as Dracula was terrible... Read More
Gambit was always one of the better mutants and his interaction with Wolverine is fantastic so it was sad not to see him in the X-Men movies. So it's good to see him finally in Wolverine. It is a shame that it's not Sawyer's Josh Hollaway as his southern drawl perfectly matches Gambit's Cajun accent. Lets hope this guy can do it just as well. if not better ... Read More
for those going on about Josh Holloway...he was offered the role, he didnt want it. Apparently he reckoned it was too close to Sawyer. I'm not sorry, Taylor will rock this part! ... Read More
