It's becoming increasingly hard to figure out which film I am more excited about, Indiana Jones IV or this. Other than the film looking just amazing in terms of animation, it's the character of Wall-E that makes me want to see this so much. Just the way he can produce so many expressions and emotions from just his eyes and voice are brilliant. More

Could an animated film be entered into both the Best Picture ]Best Animated or does it have to be one or the other? Or being animated is it not now allowed to be considered for Best Picture seeing as animation has its own category?
don't think a film has to be "entered" as such (except for Best Foreign Film). As long as a film is eligible in a given category, then the studio can push for votes in that category, with the likes of the For Your Consideration ads in the trade papers More

Having just actually watched the trailer I can safely say I've never been so excited about an animated film before! It looks incredible. The best trailer I've seen in ages (yes even better than the Dark Knight one!) More

This is my early prediction for Best Picture Oscar 2009.
This film just looks astounding.
sp;
The old patriarcs at the Academy will never, never, NEVER give the best pic Oscar to an animated movie; its not a "real" film in their opinion. Its realy sad, the geeks at Pixar are working magic here. Theyre in a league of their own. More

The link provided on the avforums has been taken down too, but you can still see it here:

Whatever about their flaws (and they sure do have 'em!), at least worstpreview will sometimes still have the clips up that they're clearly not meant to show!

I just wanted to post a note to apologise for the fact that the Wall-E trailer is no longer available. This is due to circumstances beyond our control. Hope you were lucky enough to be one of those who saw it while it was live. Sorr-E. More

Absolutely phenomenal. It's amazing to see so much more of Wall-E and to finally meet EVE! That part with the ring is also absolutely hilarious! I cannot wait to see this film and I agree that it might be a massive film in terms of animation crossing into mainstream movies. This film manages to cross the epic sci-fi feel in with the charming junk yard attributes immensely well.

| A "Silent" movie of sorts. |
With "lead" characters that lack voices and the glimpses we have seen so far, the visualisation of the film will be key! Apart from the sound FX, this will need to marry the best ingredients of story-telling, imagination, comedy to be invested via the medium of a "visual" cooking pot to come out trumps. I hope it lives up to expectation!! Can't wait! More

Astonishingly good - I was completely bowled over by all of the spots/trailers/clips i had seen before, but this just crushed them into a little cube and stuck them on its shelf. Wall-E is amazing, Eve looks billiantly futuristic, and the quality of the animation is outstanding.
There is now a serious face-off between this, Iron-Man, and the Dark Knight for my movie soul this summer... and I kinda want the lonely robot to win. More

| Gets better and better |
I actually came on Empire just now to check one of the older news stories about Wall-E for a preview I'm going - I think I actually squealed out loud with excitement when I saw this instead!!
Each clip/snippet/tv spot/image I see from this, I anticipate it more and more. While I would've rathered a little less "spelling things out" voiceover, at least it wasn't the standard Movie Trailer Man voice. Some of the shots are gorgeous too, and if they look this great on my dark crappy work PC, can More

You know, I've got to be honest with you; as much as I LOVE Pixar, I've never actually liked their trailers much, as I feel they usually focus too much on the jokes and make the stories look much more inconsequential than they end up being. This, on the other hand, has impressed me from day one; story and character are front and centre here, just like in their actual films, and you just can't argue with the visuals and designs. I also love the way that the pacing and style of animation harkens b More
