New Get Smart Trailer Second preview for Carell's spy caper
A new trailer for the Steve Carell spy comedy Get Smart has popped up on Youtube and you can watch it below. Warning, there are subtitles here, but do not read them unless you are fluent in foreign or confusion will occur.
Ehh...we're not so sold on this second promo. The teaser, which mainly featured that final gag where Agent Smart throws the phone, made us chuckle quite a bit, but there's nothing in the new material to raise much more than a slight grin. We absolutely love Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway, and the old TV spy spoof series that this is based on was usually good fun, so we're hoping that this is just a case where the material hasn't quite worked when chopped up.
What do you think? Are we just grumpy gusses this morning or is this not funny?
Seems about as funny as a baked bean colostomy - bit lumpy, bit gloopy, not at all that good.

The tone is really that of the Parole Officer (see telephone gag / electric fan gag from Parole Officer)...but whereas that was kinda funny because he was a PAROLE officer and not a secret agent, this is going to be Johnny English...but American...Oh, and crap. ... Read More
