Emily Blunt Joins Wolf Man
She'll appear opposite Benicio Del Toro

We love Emily Blunt. She's extremely talented, both comedically and dramatically; she's nice to look at; and she's also very witty and self-depracating. So it's with mildly stalkerish delight that we greet the news that she's signed up for The Wolf Man, Mark Romanek's update of the werewolf legend.

At a press conference in Sundance, Blunt said "I'm about to start shooting with Anthony Hopkins and Benicio Del Toro on 'The Wolfman. It's a period gothic werewolf story, it's really good, really smart. Not a film I would actually go and see, because I don't like scary films, but its really, really good."

No word on who'll she'll play, but we'd put money on her being a love interest for Del Toro's character who is torn between her affection for her man and the fact that he's gone all hairy and bitey.

We really looking forward to this one. Those photos of Del Toro getting into character that circled the net a while back looked terrific and Romanek's work on some terrific music videos and One Hour Photo make him a potentially major talent. Blunt's addition is the icing on the cake.

P.S. This is just apropos of nothing, but it really amuses us that a lot of reports are calling this movie Wolfman, all one word, as if it's a surname. It's Wolf Man. A man who's also a wolf.

RE: ??????? (cont'd)
why aren't universal worrying about Van helsing 2,3 or 4 or A phantom of the opera update   Because Van Helsing was shit,  A Phantom Of The Opera update.  You have just contradicted yourself by asking why they keep remaking the same movies.  Phantom Of the Opera.  Sounds like the biggest waste of time ever.  Bring this on and Benicio will be great in this I think.  He has the perfect freaky werewolf look.      More

(Sorry i pressed the wrong button) Benicio del toro is the wrong guy to play the wolf man and is anthony hopkins trying to star in every classic horror movie remake (Dracula). I like One hour photo a lot but i think this is the wrong material for the director and why aren't universal worrying about Van helsing 2,3 or 4 or A phantom of the opera update they have to reamke the same films which is boring as a movie goer and i'm not looking forward to the creature of the black lagon remake ! Wolfman
"it really amuses us that a lot of reports are calling this movie Wolfman, all one word, as if it's a surname"... You mean like Spiderman (all one word) or Batman (all one word) or Superman (do you see where I'm going here?)... Unless of course I'm mistaken and those were actually their surnames and it was just a coincidence that they each served as a natty little description of that particular Superhero. Sorry I'll make that Super Hero in case you start wondering who this Dave Superhe More

god, sorry ollie, im not stalking you, but...
...after the Kutcher comments, i can't let this one go... "Romanek's work on some terrific music videos and One Hour Photo make him a potentially major talent. " Are you fecking serious? I mean, at all? Even a little bit? Come on...he's your cousin, yeah? Or he's paying you?...I'd rather that than the possibility of you believing what you've written here... More
