Bucket List Is Tops In The US
Old boys beat the youngsters

It was a strong few days at the US box office this weekend. Although there were no record breakers, the entire top ten made good numbers. In at number 1 was The Bucket List, a comedy that stars Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson as a pair of old boys fulfilling a list of dreams before they pop their clogs. The film took $19.5 million. That put it just $500,000 ahead of the number two movie First Sunday, a crime comedy starring Ice Cube and Tracy Morgan. Despite its lower haul, First Sunday actually had a higher screen average by $1800.

Still going great guns at number three was Jason Reitman's Juno, which added another $14 million to its total, putting it over the $70 million mark after 6 weeks. Those are amazing numbers for a low budget indie movie.

The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything was a new entry at number 9 with $4.4 million. Pirates is the latest in the Veggie Tales series, a franchise of Christian-themed movies for children starring bouncing vegetables.

The only other new entry this week was In The Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, which, with $3.3 million, proved that there is sadly still an audience for the Uwe Boll oeuvre.

Hurray! Dr. Boll strikes again! For some reason I find the exotic German Boll so much more likeable than that other hot contender for the title of 'Worst Director Working at Present¨', monsieur Paul W. S. Anderson. Boll's charm is much more akin a modern day Ed Wood, while Anderson just messes with screenplays from quality writers (Soldier), kills classic franchises (AvP) and bonks Milla Jovovich. I think I'll give In The Name Of The King a try (as long as I don't have to pay anything for More

In the Name of the King
If you haven't done so yet, go look at the trailer for Boll's latest on apple.com. It's magnificent, in a truly awful way! Particularly the Stath's attempt to deliver a piss-poor version of Leonidas' "tonight we dine in hell"-type speech! I'd almost be tempted to check this on dvd when it comes out, just to see if it's bad bad or guilty pleasure bad! More

in all seriousness, i think that people go see Uwe Boll films simpluy o see just how bad it will be. Saying that, i've never seen an Uwe Boll film because i don't think that they're released over here. More

OMG!!! Hopefully Mr.Boll's film won't be released here at all, please. Whoever, went and saw it has to be laughed at. More
