| 11 January 2008 | Olivia Wilde Joins Year One Jack Black comedy gets leading lady |
|
Olivia Wilde is set to take the female lead in Harold Ramis's Year One, a biblical era comedy already starring Jack Black, Michael Cera, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, David Cross, Vinnie Jones(!), Juno Temple and June Raphael. Olivia Wilde will play Princess Inanna, Black's love interest.
You may recognise Wilde from the TV show The Black Donellys (but only if you're our editor James, since he's the only person who watched it) or last year's horror flick Paradise Lost. We can safely say that this is the best gig of her career.
Year One is being produced by Judd Apatow, because there's a new law saying he has to have a hand in every comedy going. Given that he's brilliant, we're happy for that law to be firmly enforced. | | Olly Richards |
