Two New Clips From Awake
There's something we're just not getting about Awake, the new thriller starring Hayden Christensen as a man who remains conscious but paralysed during surgery and discovers his doctors up to no good and Jessica Alba as his concerned wife. You can see two new clips from the film on IESB here and here.

It just seems kind of...silly. We know that people stay mentally awake during surgery happens often, but there's something about Christensen screaming in voiceover while the surgeons prepare to hack that put us in mind of a twisted Look Who's Talking.

Terrence Howard is a great actor and Christensen can be very good with the right material (see Shattered Glass for proof), so maybe the final movie will be good. But these clips make it look more unintentionally amusing.

Is it just us? What do you think?
