If this is ment to filmed using handheld - home video, then technically this should just be one long shot that goes on for the whole film - unless the film cuts out at points. However if you watch the helecopter bit we see it taking off but when its falling down we see this from the inside of the chopper - i know this is a little annoying but still - continunity wouldn't go a miss!!! Someone was wondering why the military guy has his face all pixelated out - well, maybe since the movie is supposed to be based on homevideo footage "found" by the US Army after the incident, maybe they pixelated the soldier's face out to protect his privacy.
Why would they protect his identity then? Standard Army procedure - or is he seen doing something that the military would rather forget happened? (Shooting an infected civilian or something?)

The problem, surely by the time the film comes out or within a few days after that, everybody will know what the film is about, will have probably seen pictures of the monster etc...
Unless the monster is never seen and the film ends with nobody knowing what happened.

is probably as it's from the POV of the army. Keeping it in character, the army would only release "video evidence" of the cloverfield incident if they "protected their troops" or something.
The Liberty head IS new - probably a reaction to all the inter-nerds who complained it looked too small in the teaser. It looks much beefier now.
