The New Cloverfield Trailer
Here be monsters!

The New Cloverfield Trailer
It's been a long time coming, but we now bring you the second trailer for Cloverfield, the none more top secret monster movie, directed by Matt Reeves and produced by JJ Abrams.

Was the wait worth it? We think so. We get a much stronger sense of the story – monsters attack New York and knock most of it over – and a proper look at how the handheld style will work while still retaining the big bang blockbuster quality, i.e. brilliantly.

Watch the trailer below and, for a detailed breakdown of everything within click here.

So, what do you think?

Continunity
If this is ment to filmed using handheld - home video, then technically this should just be one long shot that goes on for the whole film - unless the film cuts out at points. However if you watch the helecopter bit we see it taking off but when its falling down we see this from the inside of the chopper - i know this is a little annoying but still - continunity wouldn't go a miss!!! ... Read More

The excitement comes from not seeing the alien
On reading what I've just written you would be forgiven for thinking I'm anti-CGI and a miserable sod. I'm neither (not that anyone reading this really cares). I remember watching Lady in the Water. It was all going really well: lots of suspense: only seeing the creature's eyes in the grass: when they went and spoiled it by bringing out the not-very-scarey wolf-type animal with grass for fur. Sometimes, with the temptation of creating some impressive eye-candy for the screen, they lose the... Read More

RE: hazmat
You can't even remotely trust that trailer to give away anything solid - that person expanding could just as easily be one of the characters dreaming / having a moment on weed. Anyone remember when the Korean guy in Lost started speaking perfect English for next week's preview "Everything's going to change" only for it to turn out to be Hurley's hallocinating after too much cheese? Dreadful behavour. ... Read More
