Is Vin Diesel The New Terminator?
That's the rumour
Source: aintitcool.com

Is Vin Diesel The New Terminator?
It was rumoured yesterday that McG is in talks to direct Terminator 4 (read about that here) and today more rumours are circulating that Vin Diesel has been having meetings about taking the role of the titular killer robot, now that Arnie's busy doing political whathaveyous in California.

Now, Diesel has already been announced to appear in The Fast and the Furious 4, so is he planning to do both? T4 and TFATF4 are both planned as pre-strike projects, so he'd have to get both in the bag by the end of June – a big ask for two effects movies that haven't started shooting yet.

All that aside, do you want to see Diesel as the new Terminator? If not, then who? Our vote goes to The Rock.

Diesel Good, Rock Better, McG Very Very Bad
Vin Diesel's career has suffered from some questionable choices on his part but he showed a lot of promise and should get another chance but he's maybe ont not the best choice for T4. The Rock would be far better in the role and could bring something different to a role Arnie made his own. But who gave McG the gig? Who keeps giving him movies to screw up? Who, in hollywood is he sleeping with? ... Read More

I can hardly wait for Terminator 4 but...
I'm not interested in seeing this turn into a Vin Diesel movie directed by McG. This film (and the two sequels) needs first and foremost a decent script with a pre-planned story for three movies. Then they need to hire a quality director who can tell this future war as it was meant to be told. T4 should continue where T3 left off in a post-apocalyptic future much like the flashbacks from Kyle Reece's future war from the original Terminator. There is absolutely no need for time travel, no prot... Read More

RE: Give it a rest
I wouldn't mind a T4 movie. I liked Vin Diesel as Riddick, which is a character kind of similar to a terminator (ruthless, deadly killer). As long as Diesel plays the villian and not a "friendly" reprogrammed terminator, he'll be fine.   Personally I think it's a good idea to only have Arnie in a cameo role. First off he is starting to look a little old and as the T-800 is an ageless robot he would look a bit iffy. And secondly, the terminators are supposed to be infiltation mach... Read More

Give it a rest
The Terminator films should have stopped after the second one. why are they even contemplating a fourth? i like Vin Diesel and feel his films have been cruelly put down in the past, but i don't feel this would do anything good to his career. ... Read More

Dystopian Future (it's what we all want!!!)
Ok fair do's, having these two involved is not a very encouraging thought. However, there's only one direction this film could and should go. Forget this "happening in the present" rubbish - It's time to sate the film going publics hunger - give us Dystopian Future! Terminator exo skeletons trudging about over skulls - huge roving ships blasting lasers everywhere, Vin killed off in a executive decisionesq twist and all out war for 2 hours. ... Read More
