Your Comments

I have already seen it and it's not going to work.
I have managed to see a screening of the Grindhouse movie with both features plus the extra faux-trailers. I thought the combo was absoloutely brilliant. It was just like watching all those dodgy home videos from yesteryear. I thought Tarantino's was the weaker of the two features as Planet Terror had more laughs and grit. This was more like a pointless girl-power movie and I thought that it is a sure sign that Tarantino needs to get a grip and do what he does best. This may work with th More

Pure Tarantino
reading through everyones comments, its clear that everyone has very different and varied opinions of all Taratino's movies and nobodys favourites are the same. therefore there is no reason why everyone will love or hate Death Proof. You can't say its good or bad, but it is worth watching. I saw it last night and I loved it, thought it was pure tarantino, the dialogue, the music, the not knowing exactly which way the film is going to turn. Loved the bad editing and scratchy grainy film look. D More

SpyKids is dull for adults but for Children its great, and thats what Rodriguez set out to do, amke a kids film. So no need to recover. I dont think QT can pull himself out of this now tbh. i disagree i have faith that if QT gets off his arse and Makes Inglorious Bastards it will be not as good as Dogs and Pulp but will be near that standard of film.He could give WW2 a refreshing aproach show us what soldiers really are like rather than the hero status people like spielberg give them don't get me wrong i loved Ryan but it would be good to see something different More

Reality
I think QT jumped the shark with Jackie Brown. The two Kill Bills were pointless and I'm guessing Death Proof will be the same (The vast majority are saying DP sucks). And I wouldn’t get too excited about Inglorious Bastards. Even if he does get around to making it, he's disappeared up his own arse and that's the way things are going to stay. More

Eh, i found the film pretty "meh" to be honest.  Not sure it's going to work without it being part of 'grindhouse', i don't think it'll make much sense.  Also the last thing i thought whilst watching the film was "boy, i sure do wish there was 25 minutes extra of these boring talking scenes between these unlikeable female characters!", so i'm not looking forward to the extended single version.  Also did anyone else hate what tarintino did to Stuntman mike in the last 15 min More

to be honest, the best trailer for this film was the original Grindhouse trailer, as it didn't give too much of the story away, and plus it's way cooler. i've seen the film and it's very good (far from perfect) but this trailer didn't do it justice at all. There's a lot of factory-line shit made all the time and Quentin Tarantino makes distinct, intelligent, stimulating, by turns innovative and derivative, post-modern films that redefine the genre and resonate in pop culture. Of all the films Tarantino has directed, only Jackie Brown has not been copied, parodied, imitated and referenced on television and in film. This film has got great word-of-mouth even from allegedly "highbrow" critics (not just fun-lovers like Empire). Fair enough if, like ageless, you've seen it and didn't like it, but I think Tarantino's proved himself a terrific writer and director, and, Grindhouse shenanigans aside, this looks like what I think it is: Tarantino making, essentially, a slasher flick.
