Exclusive: New American Gangster Trailer Washington and Crowe in action
It's set to be one of the best films of the year, judging by the cast (Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe et al), writer (Steven Zaillian) and director (Ridley Scott) - and we have an all-new trailer for you.
The story is set in the late '60s and follows Denzel Washington's Frank Lucas, who climbs the rungs on the criminal ladder after his boss is killed, and quietly overtakes the mafia drug lords in taking control of the streets - while maintaining a respectable civic profile on the side. Crowe plays Richie Roberts, a police detective who begins to suspect that there is a new crime lord taking over in Harlem. Both men follow a strict ethical code that isolates them from their colleagues - but are, inevitably, set to clash.
This is the longest trailer yet, with much more of a taster for what promises to be one of the best films of the autumn.

My most anticipated! Nice to see John Polito there too, who featured in Millers Crossing about 17 years ago now. ... Read More
