Vin Diesel and Michelle Yeoh are no strangers to the future. From the darkness of Pitch Black to the burning glow of Sunshine, these two Sci-fi stalwarts seem to like their movies tinged with a distinct touch of what lies ahead. Take next year’s Babylon A.D. for example.
Based on Maurice Georges Dantec's novel Babylon Babies and directed by La Haine-helmer Mathieu Kassovitz, this apocalpytic thriller sees Diesel as Serbian mercenary Thoorop – a man sent to escort a rather special woman (Yeoh) across the Nothern Hemisphere. When Thoorop discovers his charge may be carrying a virus capable of destroying the entire human race, a normal day’s work turns into a planet saving quest.
