The message 'see you in December' applies to I AM LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When that film is released there should be the first DARK KNIGHT trailer!!
Hopefully it won't show too much of the Joker, it would be nice to be surprised. But I suppose if he is pants then a little warning would also be appreciated. More

Bale as Batman is an ok choice, one cannot always get a good actor to play the part well & having to look like the character aswell.
heath ledger as the joker sounds interesting to me, i guess they had to change the way the characters looked & dressed so it wouldn't be Keaton & Nicholson again. They have succeeded in making it dark & gritty different than Tim Burton's version. More

I think you're looking for one set interpretation of the Joker. The man has been portrayed in hundreds of manners. So it's very hard to pin him down.
The one constant his his utter insanity. And even then, sometimes he seems to have method to the madness, others he doesn't. Nolan is drawing from the Killing Joke for character style only. It's that kind of dark that the Joker is going to be. Reading the Killing Joke's first page shows that the Joker and Bats have a long standing relationship, so More

Oafley...First off, I've been a collector of Joker comics for about 20 years. Second, it wasn't me that said Dark Knight's Joker was going to be inspired by Long Halloween and Killing Joke, it was Christopher Nolan, THE DIRECTOR. And again, note the two wound like disfigurements at the corners of his 'non-smiling' mouth. That would suggest the bullet wounds Napier suffered in Burton's Batman, which was not in the original comic. It may very well be that this image is that of a 'victim' of the J More

I like the new picture of Joker, a very grotesque, nightmarish style that suits the character well. It lends the notion to me, that this will be as far a departure from Nicholson's scenery-chomping buffoon as possible. I also agree with Pablohoolio that even if the pic is fake, it's priceless in regards to publicity.
Also, every huge Batman fan should keep an eye on the current Batman Confidential comic series, a future issue will contain a back story for Joker.

For me, a lot of what makes Joker interesting is that he's the opposite of dour, brooding but righteous Batman; he's a flamboyant, larger-than-life and totally amoral psycho, with a livewire personality and a "taste for the theatrical", as Gordon said at the end of Begins, and it's that combination of insane mirth and vicious evil that More

| RE: The Joker Officially Revealed! |
its hard to give a proper opinion on this without seeing a trailer, or footage of the joker moving and speaking (any sign soon?). If it is real then it could work as it looks a bit more industrial accident than clown face, which might be a good idea! More

if Total Film had bothered to check reliable sources like BOF they would know that the proxy site used to hide the site owner was intentional n regiastered 3 days before www.ibelieveinharveydent.com (the first one) was launched basicly saying it cant be afake because both sites were planned and launcehed at the same time. Just what Batman needs a "real" menace. Not a watered down fool who's all image and no substance. Yes we all know about the classic Joker look but it is time to bring a more psychotic threat thats believable into the world of Batman and on to the screen and keep the momentum built up by Batman Begins. It was the perfect set up comic book adapatation ever and I'm sure Nolan wont want to damage all that good work.I think he will nail this perfectly.Whether its for young kids though, I doub More

I for one hope its real... adn I kinda like it. I know Ledger said that the Joker would have green hair (self dyed) to help with his theatrical nature, and I think this is a more realistic version of the character all round. As much as I loved Jack, was it exactly believeable that the guy would flip flop into something that whacky and that chemicals would make him look like that? if Nolans doing realism this seems to be a step in the right direction-a crazy shit who has slashed the smile on hims More

i hope it's a fake, because he looks more like Marilyn Manson than the Joker! Say what you like about Jack Nicholson and even Cesar Romero, they LOOKED like the Joker as he was depicted in the comic books. More

| RE: Fake |
I gotta agree with the previous poster, this is most likely a fake. A certain other film magazine has claimed that they've investiagted it and while the ibelieveinharverydent was created by warner bros on 11 may, the ibelieveinharverydenttoo was created at a later time by a private registration company. So to be honest with you, i wouldn't get your hopes up that this is the real deal just yet. More

| Fake |
This image is most likely a fake. Would WarnerBros, who created the "IbelieveinHarveyDent.com" site, really distribute cards to only one comic book shop? (Which is how the website came to be known.) And even if so, why is the "IbelieveInHarveyDentToo.com" site NOT a WarnerBros site? I doubt they'd go to such lengths to hide their identify on the "Joker" site... More

love the look.with the chelsea smile it actually looks similiar to the new look comic writer grant morrison recentely gave his "revamped" version of the joker in his prose/comic story "the clown at midnight".think DC have already returned to his classic look tho in series like countdown, so its good to see that style used here. Love it.... Certainly NOT PANTS as tallaght24 would have us believe. Green hair or not though? Can't wait for this one. Now that Sam Raimi has dropped the ball with the spider-man movies all eyes (and hopes) will be on Chris Nolan to continue what he started with Batman Begins - IMO has the potential to be the greatest series of 'superhero' movies ever.. | RE: Nasty! |
Right, now that this is the official picture of Ledgers Joker, I can finally settle to the fact that this second Nolan Batman Movie is going to live up to the expectations of the first!!! Admittedly I wasn't too sure about the pic when I saw it the other day, due to rumours, but I do actually like it, ahem! Not like it... I mean Love it!!! I think this movie is going to be the most anticipated movie since the lead up to Spiderman 3! More
