I, for one, am looking forward to the follow up to Superman Returns!
I hope Singer is able to start work on the movie soon.
Superman Returns finale is set up for what could be thrilling sequels!!!!
For example
i). Singer can explore the fact that Superman has a kid and Lex Luthor knows about it. How does Lex harm Superman using his kid?
ii) Bryan - if you are reading ,,, pls dont bring Zod back. You have the chance to bring back two new super villians..... a lot more compelling than Zod.

| RE: AND |
Thanks Shane123 for the correction and you are correct but the point I was really trying to make is that Darkseid is so powerful in the DC Universe that Thanos was created in the Marvel Universe and Darkseid was the inspiration. But with that said is it my imagination or are they making Supes seem weaker and weaker. As powerful as he is I figure the only vilians that should be able to make him bleed are Darkseid, Doomsday, Matallo only because of his kriptonite core and Brainiac onl More

I personaly would suggest that instead of Big Bad Bald Lex Luthor, in the next film the man with the pants on over the tights could fight a giant C.G Mr Hankie from Southpark. It would be, in my humble opinion, the only way you'd be able to put more shit on the screen than in the previous installment.

The cinematography was out of this world and John Ottman's reworking of the score throughout the film fits perfectly. They should scrap this shit, and just do a Smallville spin-off. As the show is most likely wrapping up next year, they should just cast Tom Welling and Erica Durance, and re-launch the franchise.

Although Zod would always be a great villian for Superman, he should not return at all in any Superman films. In Superman 2, Superman tricked Zod and the others to losing their powers then he through Zod to the wall and he fell into the mist. So he had to have been destroyed, and there is no way he could get those powers back. Bringing Zod back into the Superman films wouldn't make any sense especially if you bring him back with those powers. I think Doomsday would be great but i think it More

Zod should re-appear. Not in the next installment but he should return at some point. Maybe because Returns was supposed to be set after Superman 2 so having him as the next nemesis would feel empty in the whole Superman (comic) world.
Maybe they could tie in a cliffhanger at the end of the next sequel to re-introduce him in sequel 3. Similar to the Superman 2 Donner cut. More

It does need to move on with the next chapter, now Superman has returned and foiled Luthor's frankly crap plan and has been re-established.

Superman Returns was disappointing at best. Brandon Routh was a poor choice for Superman. Brandon has a 'Spider-Man' physique, It just didn't work. Tom Welling would have been a better choice. He'd still need to put on 10-20lbs of muscle, but he looks better than Routh. A skinny Superman. Sorry, I just couldn't buy it. Bryan Singer should have stayed with the X-Men franchise. Typical, the masses demanding more action from what was definitely one of the strongest blockbusters this summer (and I'm not even a Superman afectionado in the slightest). Despite the stupid 'look, it's another Jesus analogy!' ending, the fact that the action set-pieces were fewer gave each of them more impact (something Pirates of the Carribean could do with taking some notes from).
