McAdams Is The Time Traveller's Wife
Rachel signs for the romantic drama

The adaptation of Audrey Niffenegger’s buzzed-about romance novel The Time Traveller’s Wife is starting to pick up some steam.

The Family Stone's Rachel McAdams is now attached to star with The Queen’s Stephen Frears seriously considering sitting in the director’s special chair. It’s the tale of a man unstuck in time, with a gene in his body that means he can travel through life and appear at different times. This makes things both interesting and difficult for the woman who loves him, as she’s simply ageing normally.

With The Notebook’s Jeremy Leven having written the script, the film will start shooting as soon as the director is in place.

Could've been worse
Not bad at all, was fearing the worst when Pitt and Aniston got their mits on the rights... Now all they need to do is cast Justin Theroux as Henry, Kip Pardue as Gomez and Paul Giamatti as Dr. Kendrick. More

If they make this movie they need a bloody good screenplay. The book dragged so much in its final quarter that I almost didnt finish it. Also the ending was telegraphed in the book from near enough the middle of the story. A good sreenplay / adaption could sort both these problems out so lets hope it does.   More
