Considine Delivered An Ultimatum
Paul Greengrass has added some top British talent to the latest instalment of the Bourne franchise.

Paddy Considine has signed on to The Bourne Ultimatum, playing a London journalist tracking a former CIA director (likely Joan Allen’s character). Julia Stiles and David Strathairn are already aboard alongside star Matt Damon, as the titular amnesiac ex-spy has to deal with a government killer tracking him down.

Greengrass is on the set right now, directing away. Currently he’s having a cup of tea and… yes… a biscuit.

The Bourne Ultimatum will be in cinemas next August. But if you can't wait that long for the next Paddy sighting, he'll be found in Hot Fuzz in February.

RE: Incomprehensible action
L: Eyecatching Just as bad was the monorail fight in Batman Begins, I want to see the fight, not be in it! sp; Well said! I think Greengrass could learn a thing or two about staging action scenes from William Friedkin. The car chases in nch Connection Live & Die In L.A. Jade soluely top notch, and the knife fights in ted rrific. A tripod and a more restrained editor for Mr.Greengrass, methinks! ... Read More

Handheld tosh...
I agree with Lisamoorish and the hand held defence is a bit flimsy - doesn't matter if handheld, steadicam or crane etc etc. coherence is in the editing and some of the action sequences in Supremacy like the car chase are not completely comprehensible. This is down to the editing more than anything. Its a minor thing as still one of my favorite films, but it did jar with me as well after the logic but still great action in Identity. ... Read More

In response to lisamoorish
The film was completley shot hand-held,so the action scenes beeing difficult to follow are in harmony with rest of the film that treats the action more realistacly than the first one. But that is in fact a major flaw in Batman Begins,in which It's a complete steady shot film, but in the action sequences we suddenly can't tell what the hell's going on,which for a film of this type is a bigger concern and doesn't glue with the rest of the film. But that problem I think is more due to the editing th... Read More

He's great,I always remembered him from In America. But in Dead Man's Shoes he trully kicks ass! That's a new British classic righ there. I'm very happy Greengrass is doing this because I though Supremacy was even better(and more realistic)than Identity(which was really good). ... Read More

RE: Looking forward to it, but.....
Great news!  Considine is the finest actor out there at the moment and he deserves as much attention as possible, he was criminally under-nominated for his role in In America and Dead Man's Shoes and though I doubt this'll give him an awards win it'll at least bring him to the attention of lots and lots of people! This third installment is shaping up excellently if Gael Garcia Bernal is also on board!  I can't wait. ... Read More
