Given its pedigree (it’s the new film from Brick helmer Rian Johnson), The Brothers Bloom is already a film to watch closely, even though we’ll likely have to wait until 2008 to see it.
He talked about the con artists movie when we reported on it here, and mentioned then that he was starting to talk to actors. Well, he’s found one. Rachel Weisz has signed on to play the crucial role of Penelope, the eccentric millionaire that the brothers target as their last big con.
With luck, Johnson won’t have to wait as long to shoot Bloom as he did Brick – in fact, he’s planning to start work early next year. |

| A solid addition | Having loved Brick, I'm looking forward to Rian Johnson's new film. Think Weisz is a good decision for any cast. A credible actress without being too much of a 'star'.
