First Shots Of Kidman as Mrs Coulter
At The Golden Compass' location shoot

After leaving the project but eventually returning, writer-director Chris Weitz is currently busy making the first His Dark Materials film – The Golden Compass, aka Northern Lights – on location around the UK.

And, despite the usual hefty security measures, there’s seemingly still no way to stop the stars being snapped as they walk to and from the set (though we’re sure the minute someone invents teleportation, most A-listers will have that written into their riders). So the first pictures of Nicole Kidman as scheming villainess Mrs Coulter have arrived online. And from the looks of these early shots, she’s the best-dressed evildoer since Cruella de Vil.

Take a look at two of her outfits here at reelmovienews.com and here at BridgeToTheStars.net which is also reporting that young actor Ben Walker – last seen in the TV version of Sweeney Todd with Ray Winstone – has signed to play Roger.

funny joke bluedragon21120.It's a joke right? It's a bit difficult to sense irony on a computer if It's not smack on. She looks good, however I alaways imagined her wearing something older, like in th XIX or early XX century. More

no no no
Kidman is the most smarmy, non-talent actresses of the last century. Watching her act not only ecos the emotion of paint drying, you cna also be fully aware that she is straining to act. Painful to watch, I swear this filmw ill be shiot if shes in it, which, she is. More

RE: CURE GASTROPARESIS
Wow she looks great. Though the outfit is not quite what I imagined Mrs Coulter to wear, but I know she suits the icy role to a tee. More
