| Bionicles rather than transformers |
They look more like bionicle robots. and i cant understand why star screen is the biggest and towers over the rest, even megatron.its hard to say how this movie is going to turn out. Dreamworks have changed everything to much..wel just have to wait and see. but seeing pictures and trailers of this movie, it doesnt quite have the same feel as the original autobots and decepticons.. but special effects are impressive. More

I don't really like this look. Sure, it's detailed and all, but have a look at the Transformers : Infiltration comics, there's a detailed Optimus, which still looks like the G1 Optimus. I'd like that a lot better. I especially fear the pictures I've seen of Megatron. I mean, a cybertronian jet (possibly) without a blaster on his arm? That's no Megatron. I also heard that there will be no mass shifting, so where will that leave Soundwave? More

this is a terrible look for optimus, cause it doesnt look like the generation 1 version when its suppose to look like the generation 1 optimus prime, cause he's not a racing car , but a normal red truck. I think they must now fix this problem and make the transformers look exactly like the 80's cartoons version since the film is about the first few episodes of season one. More

I totally agree. To be honest, and I choose my words very carefully, although I love Transformers G1 the classic Optimus in robot form I felt didn't always give the impression of being one of the biggest, hardest robots ever to roll out of Alpha Trion's workshop. Obvious exeptions being his charge into battle in the animated movie and his first ever altercation with Megatron in War Dawn.
Speaking of which, I'm actually far more interested in how they depict Megatron, esp More

It's just a concept pic. Check out all the images from the still galleries on the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings DVDs, or any other DVD. They always have hundreds of concepts artworks which are either improved upon or chucked, but rarely make it into the film in the form in which you see them. More

This is only a concept pic of Prime dated October 2005. The most recent concept is a bit more bulkier with improvements to the feet, shoulders and face.
For those people who wont further info check out Don Murphys website (He is one of the producers) and Michael Bays Website, Nelson is the forum moderator and has confirmed the date of this concept. They are also 1st hand sources and not 3rd hand.
