It’s officially time for film companies to stop drip-feeding casting stories. Fingers... so... very... tired...

Still, another day, another actor announcement for Ridley Scott’s ‘70s drug crime drama American Gangster. We told you yesterday about Carla Gugino and John Hawkes joining up.

Now comes word that Chiwetel Ejiofor will reunite with his old Inside Man mate Denzel Washington to play his brother and fellow drug lord.

Also revealed today were Monk’s Ted Levine, actors John Ortiz and Yul Vazquez, alongside rappers-turned-actors RZA, TI and Common.

RE:
nt stuff. Chiwetel Ejiofor seems to have come out of nowhere and proven himself a highly accomplised actor. He joined the cast on Serenity and stole every single fecking scene he was on; just witness the look on his face as his kills Mr. Universe, anger and frustration overcoming the characters usual calmness. A perfect piece of acting. Denzel Washington ain't too bad either. More

What an amazing cast. It's interesting to see Scott try gangsters for the first time too. More
