Michael Pena Guns For Shooter
Joining the Mark Wahlberg thriller

Michael Pena, who was one of the best parts of Crash’s superb ensemble, has signed up to play Mark Wahlberg’s archenemy on Shooter.

Antoine Fuqua will start shooting the previously announced film in June in Vancouver for Paramount. The plot sees a top triggerman framed for the very presidential assassination he was trying to prevent. Wahlberg is forced to go on the run and find the man responsible for framing him.

We're just wondering at which stage Jack Bauer will show up and torture someone. Come on... Presidential threat? One man alone against the world? We can hear the ticking clock now.

Your Comments

Michael Pena was fantastic in Crash, indeed I nominated him for the best actor spot in the Empire Awards. He seems unfarly overlooked, and this looks like a good bit of exposure, and I'm sure he could pull off a villain with panache. It does all sound a bit '24' but nothing wrong with that! More
