Wherefore Art Thou, Gnomeo? Developing Disney 'toon canned

If you were on tenterhooks waiting for Disney’s gnome-heavy take on Romeo And Juliet – Gnomeo & Juliet – it’s time to stop waiting. Because it’s been cancelled.
The word from Disney is that the film, which was to have featured exclusive new songs by Elton John and was at one point due to star Ewan McGregor, is now officially off its schedule. No reason has been given for the cancellation, though current thinking is that Pixar’s John Lasseter had the film shut down because of quality concerns. The message for Disney: Must Try Harder. |

| Fuck! i've been waiting for this movie for about three years and then they just say "no, sorry, its crap, never mind"! i mean they had the guy from bunny suicides working on it, how could it fail to be brilliant? More

As far as the film goes, it could have been funny, but sounded ever so slightly lame, so maybe it's best it's been canned. More
