Carrey And Burton Believe
Jim and Tim making Ripley's biopic

Carrey And Burton Believe
Tim Burton and Jim Carrey are joining forces for a new biopic of explorer Robert Ripley.

The man behind the famous Ripley’s Believe It Or Not newspaper columns and books is getting the life story treatment courtesy of biopic specialists Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander, who have worked with both Carrey and Burton before, on Man On The Moon and Ed Wood respectively.

The film follows Ripley as he’s becoming world famous for his newspaper column, which charts his adventures discovering the world’s weirdest creatures, objects and people. But in true Hollywood style, it’ll see him learning a lesson that his subjects – particularly the people - are more than just curios for his collection.

Don’t expect to see it soon, though. The film is planned to start shooting in London next year for a late 2007 release.
