Not content with playing a hitman with a midlife crisis in The Matador, Pierce Brosnan is continuing to shake off the Bond tag with another dark role.
He’s signed up to star as a kidnapper who rips a family apart in the thriller Butterfly On A Wheel.
The plot focuses on a seemingly perfect couple whose happy life is shattered when their daughter is abducted. Soon, their life is a nightmare.
Mike Barker – who last directed the Helen Hunt drama A Good Woman – will call the shots.
