| Walden Media, one of the production companies on The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, is planning an update of Journey To The Centre Of The Earth. The modern day set movie will see a father and son discover that Jules Verne’s 1864 novel was not merely science fiction.
The most exciting thing about the film, however, is that it will be the first wide-release, live-action movie shot only in 3D. Where Imax cinemas have screened 3D movies for years, Journey will play in ‘normal’ cinemas, showing on around 3000 prints in the US (the same amount as most big budget movies). |
