First producer Art Linson penned his memoir of life in the movie-making trenches, What Just Happened?
Now he’s adapted it into a screenplay, and Robert De Niro has agreed to play Linson. The film, to be directed by Barry Levinson, will follow the character through two weeks of living hell as he tries to get his next film made. Sean Penn plans to play himself. According to the filmmakers, they hope to do for movies what their Wag The Dog did for politics. Hang on… Has everyone forgotten The Player?
