Four New Watchmen Images
It was the most talked about movie at this year's Comic-Con, its first trailer sent the internet into paroxysms of glee and now Watchmen is gracing the cover of the new issue of Empire.

Actually, make that two covers of the new issue of Empire, which features our visit to the set of next year's most talked about comic book movie.

Click either of the covers below for a closer look.

As if that's not enough, we also have four brand new images from Zack Snyder's adaptation of the Alan Moore graphic novel. Click the images below to see larger versions.

RE: please dont kill it!
That is a fair point, assuming most of the clips in the trailer are from 'flasback' scenes. ... Read More

RE: please dont kill it!
L: jfhudson My only problem with the whole thing now is that the actors they've chosen all seem to be far too young. s you know, the story takes place over a period of about 20 years.  It's basically easier to age a younger actor than to make an older actor look younger. ... Read More

RE: please dont kill it!
I saw the trailer and the pictures before reading Watchmen and my first thought was 'man, they've got some really gimpy costumes' and I wasn't too impressed by the trailer either. Having now read Watchmen, however, I understand that the costumes are supposed to be a bit lame and how closely the shots from the trailer match the original drawings from the novel, so i can appreciate how someone with no prior knowledge wouldn't be too excited whilst a fan would be over the moon. My only problem wit... Read More

please dont kill it!
Im a major fan of Moore's and Watchmen sits in my collection as the patriach! Considering how poorley league of extraordianry gentlemen was done, and how "From Hell" another Moore work was recieved, prospects don't look too good, yet the trailer satisifes. If this reaches the cult status of "V for Vendetta" than i will be over the moon, but please dont go down the line of how Marvel have wrecked many of the characters portrayed, this is not the time for reinvention of "f... Read More

Not Sure Really.
I have just finished reading the graphic novel and I have to say it was pretty good. Not brilliant but good. I'm still a little unsure on how this will be received next year by the non comic geeks. Great characters, interesting timeline. Crummy Ending. If this film is a page by page copy then people who haven't read the novel will be leaving wondering what they've just spent there money on. ... Read More

RE: Hype
L: dizcostu007 Firstly I hAven't read the novel and i don't know if I will. The trailer looks good and the idea looks good. But I am fed up of something that was relased in the 80's being given all the credit for modern day stories, instead of stuff that has gone before. They say without watchmen you wouldn't have hancock, wrong. Wolverine is the original anti-hero, who takes care of things in his own way. Fair enough this may be very good, but the whole comic book world didn't start in 1... Read More

RE: re: it's all arse
L: adzman L: hexagonsun70 i agree with arseman, there have been far too many "cool" movies lately. give it a rest, film industry! how about some complete shit FOR ONCE?? I'm sick of all these films that are visually stunning but are in fact total bollocks.  How about making some films that have a good plot, maybe a story for a change?  Instead of churning out this crap until people can take no more. sp; Heres an example of excellent story and stunning visuals. RE: BEST GRAPHIC NOVEL EVER!
L: croninja "Heroes" and "The Incredibles" totally ripped off Watchmen! The whole plot of Season 1 of Heroes is a direct lift from Watchmen, and Sylar being a Watch-maker with god-like powers also blatantly mirrors Jon Osterman/Doctor Manhattan. Mr Incredible, on the other hand, is a copy of Nite Owl, a chubby washed-up hero pining for his glory days. The "Supers-getting-killed-off" story also directly homages Watchmen. Watchmen deserves some major respect! think Heroes was awar... Read More

RE: Call Me Cynical
Never read the comic (or graphic novel). I like the concept, and idea that nixon is still in power in the 80s, looks interesting, as does the tightness of the ladies clothing. Was going to get the book and read about it but i figured ill just wait for the film, all i have done is read a little about the characters, and so far I like the look of it. To Adzman - Can understand that you are sick of films being made that arent to your taste, but different people dont share the same opini... Read More
