Yogi Bear Teaser Online
He's so smart, it hurts

29 July 2010  |  Source: Yahoo Movies

Yogi Bear Teaser Online

Yesterday brought the first proper look at the new, 3D CG Yogi Bear in the poster, and we reacted with pure horror. Well, today the teaser trailer has ambled onto the screen and we get a chance to measure our reaction to a walking, talking, quipping, pratfalling Yogi with Dan Aykroyd both introducing the footage and providing the voice for the big Y.

How did we find it? Well, not as spine-icing as staring into Yogi’s freaky CG eyes on the poster, that’s for sure. Aykroyd seems to be doing a decent job of mimicking Yogi’s trademark Rat Pack-inspired vocals and Justin Timberlake can certainly do Boo Boo.

The real letdown would seem to be the movie itself: here it comes across as yet another utterly generic kid flick where the CG hero confounds his human co-stars (including, in this case, Anna Faris and Tom Cavanaugh) and runs around slamming into physical objects. A film for the truly little ones, we fear.

But let’s wait and see, shall we? Perhaps the final product will be an inspired riff on environmental issues and the metaphysical crisis of a bear that can’t help his own kleptomania. Doubt it, though.

Check out the trailer below. The film itself will be here on February 11.

Well well well...
Look what we got here. Justin Timberlake is admittedly a better movie judge than a music judge (he's bringing nauseous back, that's for sure), but still...he's acted in a few flops. Not the mild ones, either. Those flops that flop so bad it's like a trillion thunder claps at once. So what do we expect from this, with his presence? And, let's not forget the awesome Dan Ackroyd who, like a male Sandra Bullock, is loveable but has an equal number of bad and good movies to his name. And there's An... Read More

RE: It's live action!?
Well the trailer didn't have a gag where Yogi or Boo Boo eat shit so it gets my vote already/ ANd JT does do a fairly spot on Boo Boo.  Yeah it's aimed at kids of course it is.  This is a surprise or something? ... Read More
