Scott Pilgrim Arrives August 28th! A summer treat from Edgar Wright Source: The Playlist
If you've been waiting patiently to learn when you can finally see Edgar Wright's adaptation of cult graphic novel series Scott Pilgrim, here's an early festive treat - the film will arrive on August 28th.
The Playlist got hold of an email greeting sent out by Universal, which revealed the release date (the US date is still in flux, but current thinking points to either the same day or possibly a week earlier).
For those who have let the Pilgrim mania wash past them, there was also a handy primer on the plot of Scott Pilgrim Vs The World included in the message: "Meet charming and jobless Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). A bass guitarist for totally average garage band Sex Bob-omb, the 22 year-old has just met the girl of his dreams... literally. The only catch to winning Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead)? Her seven evil exes are coming to kill him..."
Oh, and you can also see a bigger version of the first official cast photo at the Playlist's site. Now, how about a trailer as our New Year's present, Edgar?
Good that its getting a simultaneous worldwide release. I was expecting that the UK would have to wait quite a while from the US release date.
Maybe they'll get to show some of it at Moviecon III as well?

Big fan of the comics. Not sure if Michael Cera is the right man for the job, he's been enjoyable, but has never really acted other than as his Michael Cera character, who is nothing like Scott.
s apprehensive to begin with (his eyes are too small!) , but if Bryan Lee O'Malley's satisfied with Cera, I guess we will be too.
