Creation Has An American Distributor Newmarket evolved enough for Darwin pic Source: Variety
Creation, the Charles Darwin biopic starring Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly, opens here today. But until now, it didn’t have a distribution deal in the States, despite starring, well, Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly, with many speculating that a movie about Darwin, the man who wrote the theory of evolution, might be too controversial for a country that sometime seems to rapidly be heading in the other direction.
Today, however, one brave company raised itself onto its two legs, rubbed the spot where its tail had been, and flicked a large middle finger in the general direction of increasingly-powerful Creationists everywhere, by picking up the Jon Amiel-directed film for a December release.
That company is Newmarket Films and, when you consider that it’s the company most famous for distributing Passion Of The Christ in the States, it’s clear to see that it’s a company that’s developed balls of brass.

Now science knows wtf those things are caused by, religious people sort of accept it but still believe in god anyway to explain other things we dont yet understand.

Matthew no offence taken at all, you seem like a nice guy so I wasnt attacking you personally, I just happen to believe that people who refuse to look rationally at science and remain blinkered by faith are very short-sighted and frustrating. In my opinion is the very esscence of beliefse such people are faced with a wall of scientific fact and evidence, yet still find ridiculous ways to squirm around it and generate half-concoted loopholes. Pointing out small gaps in scientific kn... Read More
