New Empire Avatar Cover! Avatar issue with all-new images
After all the excitement of the Avatar trailer on Thursday, here's another treat: the new issue of Empire has Avatar on the cover - and not just once but five times! Yes, every issue has a fold-out cover with three stars and two huge stills from the film.
The issue is jam-packed with exclusive pictures and on-set access from the film inside, giving you your best look yet at what James Cameron has in store for.

That's only the tip of the iceberg in terms of this month's content, of course, but to get the rest you're going to have to pick up the October issue of Empire, on sale August 27.
As a photographer I am completely blown away by this cover. The level of detail here is unprecedented. You only have to compare 'The Hobbit' Empire cover earlier this year with this one to see how far effects have come. The longer I see this image, the more impressed I am. Avatar looks good. I'd watch it anyway without all the hype. I don't give a shit about technology, it's Cameron doing sci fi again. But frankly your ass kissing of certain movies just to get access is just pathetic. I know you gotta do what you've gotta do, but try to make it intelligent and realise not all your readers are popcorn-munching sheep. ... Read More

No conflict of interest with the reviews and spin on Avatar related stories then? Not saying it looks bad, in fact looks pretty good but have found all the hype generated in Empire for this film over the last few months a bit over the top for a film even with Ridley Scott that doesn't have many A-List stars (I appreciate that's not neccesarily what the star of this motion picture is).
S I had Ridley Scott on the brain for some reason I know it's Cameron honest!
