When making Alias I bet JJ Abrams always had hopes that he would be given the opportunity to bring the world of Sydney Bristow (aka Jennifer Garner) to the big screen (a wish he somewhat fulfilled by making M:I3). I hope with JJ coming back, or at the very least being creatively involved, means we'll get a bit more continuity with the previous film, or at the very least a similar style. As much as I love the first three, it does come across as a little jarring to have a film series where each installment is completely different from the previous, even if each of the films are very entertaining.
