Neeson Is Zeus, Fiennes Is Hades In Clash of the Titans remake
Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes have joined the steadily-growing cast of Clash of the Titans, the Greek epic from Louis Leterrier which swops big green angry men for big normally-coloured angry gods - so you know it'll be good.
Neeson will build on his experience of playing Aslan (aka Jesus) to play Zeus the Lightninger*, the Thunderer, and head of the Greek pantheon, who is described, in a masterpiece of understatement, as "wise but ill-tempered". Zeus is also the father of our hero, Perseus (Sam Worthington).
Fiennes is in final negotiations to play his brother Hades, the Silent One, the Host of Many, and ruler of the underworld. He's hoping to dethrone Zeus and take his place on top of Mount Olympus.
Other cast members include Mads Mikkelsen, Gemma Arterton and Alexa Davalos, with shooting set to begin later this month in the UK. Our excitement levels for this one have gone up a full two notches with today's news: we're looking forward to seeing more from this one.

The original is one of my favourite films of all time. I remember watching it as a little boy and I always got 'Titans mixed with Jason and the Argonauts. Both are awesome films though, so this i] be very good.
Likely, it'll be dissappointing but still enjoyable. A bit like Troy perhaps. Ever the optimist eh! ... Read More

"Schindler Begins" or something like that. It'll be AMAZING. ... Read More
I've read this story at a couple of other places on the interwebs and no official casting announcement for either actor has been made. Neeson has been rumoured for a while now but I find it strange that he'd be signing up for the film at the moment considering his recent bereavement.
I think it's more likely that they're both contenders and Fiennes at least is probably in negotiations. Sorry Empire - unless you name your sources or there's an official announcement somewhere I think you're just ... Read More

Its all looking very good, but I can't help but think Leterrier's not the man for the job. But then I didn't thing McG-1000 was up for the job either, and the trailer is awesomesauce ... Read More
