Fast & Furious Trailer Arrives

We don't care that The Fast & The Furious was an automotive remake of Point Break, it was still a thoroughly enjoyable romp and if the new trailer for the fourth instalment is anything to go by then petrol-heads are in for another dose of shamelessly dumb fun.

The dream team of Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Bryan O'Conner (Paul Walker) are finally back together after being separated by two lesser sequels, and they've lassoed Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster back into the action as they all join forces to take down a common foe. The trailer boasts an extended foot chase (another homage to the Kathryn Bigelow's surfing thriller?) before the muscle cars make an appearance and the special effects budget comes into play. The giggles of stupid glee should be reserved for the end, however, where Toretto speeds his car underneath a bouncing, flaming tanker. If this were an Xbox game then that would surely be an Achievement Unlocked moment.

Anyway, you can check out the trailer for Fast & Furious here. If nothing else this is one film that's guaranteed to live up to its name.

James Dyer

Its all about the popcorn...
I gotta say im looking forward to this! The 1st one was a particular highlight the year it was released! Pure entertainment! And this looks the same. There is a time for serious thinking mans films, but also a space for popcorn entertainment! Sit back and enjoy the noise! This is what Vin shouldve been doing instead of that Chronicles/Babylon/Pacifier craziness!!! ... Read More

RE: AGREED....
No man's land is still a fave movie of mine, yet when ever I mention it, or it's striking similarity to "The Fast and the Furious" nobody seems to have the faintest idea what I'm talking about. Porsche's are way better than Ferrari's ("Huh, Italian Trash" - Charlie Sheen) Sometimes I feel as if the eighties never happened? ... Read More

Come off it Empire - The Fast & The Furious is surely a rip-off, sorry, "homage", to the little seen, 1987, Charlie Sheen / DB Sweeney classic "No Man's Land". To wit; "Benjy Taylor (D.B. Sweeney) is a rookie cop who goes undercover to nab a gang of car thieves led by Ted Varrick (Charlie Sheen). Taylor becomes too involved and starts to enjoy the thrill and lifestyle of the car thieves, and falls in love with Varrick's sister Ann (Lara Harris)." Sound familiar?... Read More
