The Only Way Is Up Exclusive image from Pixar's latest
Grumpy old man ties 10,000 balloons to his house in a bid to float to South America. It's not the average Pixar pitch (no talking fish or anthropomorphised toys) and something you might instead expect to find on the cover of the National Enquirer but it is the story behind Up, the latest project from the CG uber-wizards.
The film is scheduled for release in October 2009 but we have an exclusive interview and images in the new issue of Empire magazine (in shops now). For a taste of what's in store, one of those images is included below for your enjoyment. Behold, septuagenarian Carl Fredricksen in all his cantankerous glory.

They took a very interesting turn when it came to Wall-E and I'm pretty sure that they will have just as much success with Up. ... Read More
