Exclusive: Spirit Storyboard Sketches

We're very nearly at the release of Frank Miller's The Spirit and we've got an exclusive look at the artwork of the film for you. Miller storyboarded the entire film before it was shot, and we have two of his sketches, from the new "The Spirit: The Movie Visual Companion" book from Titan Books.

The first picture shows the Spirit (Gabriel Macht) and the Octopus (Samuel L. Jackson) squaring off on the Central City mudflats in a major sequence early in the movie. The latter shows the Spirit alone on a rooftop.

The Spirit is out on January 1, and The Spirit: The Movie Visual Companion is out now.

Megacrap
Frank Miller hasn't done anything approaching decent since the first few sin city books ie. for the last 10 years. The Spirit being (reportedly) so awful should be a surprise to no-one and a cautionary tale to producers willing to hand over millions to completely untested directors. ... Read More

Crap, messy drawings
They are like the scribbles you did in school when you were bored in Maths class. They look like shit. Everything I've seen of The Spirit looks like crap. This won't be anywhere near the level of the excellent Sin City. ... Read More
