Nightmare On Elm Street Remake Is A Go
Green light given to Platinum Dunes

Nightmare On Elm Street Remake Is A Go

The Good Lord of Remakes taketh, and the Good Lord of Remakes giveth. While Platinum Dunes’ Brad Fuller was telling us that the company’s Near Dark remake was dead, he and his producing partner Andrew Form were also confirming to Shocktillyoudrop.com that their A Nightmare On Elm Street remake has today been given the green light – go go GO!

Although Platinum Dunes’ interest in the remake has been mooted for aaaaaages, the rights to the project were tied up with New Line. “I sit here every day and am hopeful that someone will call me and say ‘we’re good to go’,” Fuller told Empire only last week. And now, someone clearly has.

"It's our next movie," Form told Shocktillyoudrop, "hopefully shooting this spring."

To read more on Form and Fuller’s plans for the return of razor-fingered, dream-stalking psycho Freddy Krueger, which will be written by Wesley Strick, click here.

BOYCOTT THERE SHIT RE_MAKES!
Nightmare is a classic. I don't wanna see Platinum Dunes shitty version of anything, they just ruin classic movies by stealing the most iconic scenes and scrambling them with their crappy attempts. I wish Form, Fuller etc would die! Hopefuly in their sleep by some horrific nightmare. How many more movies are ppl going to allow them to destroy? Plus, Wes Craven being boycotted from his own creation!!! They're nothing but stinking theives - I'll be boycotting it, along with all the other pointless... Read More

They are characters you can play with. they are talking about making freddy sinister, more a dark character. the whole point about him is that he has a sense of humore, thats the freaky part! change his character you just got another monster in a suit/ make up. so why relate it to the nightmare series? kapeshe? ... Read More
