Exclusive! New Push Pictures A collection of pics from upcoming flick
Push - Director Paul McGuigan's forthcoming sci-fi actioner about a group of psychics on the run from a clandestine government agency - looks set to be one of the most original action thrillers of 2009.
The film revolves around people with an array of incredible powers, which can rather handily be summed up by single verbs. Movers are telekinetic, able to move things with their will alone. Watchers see images of the future and the titular Pushers are able to bend you to their will and place thoughts and impulses into your mind.
Chris Evans stars as Nick Gant, a Mover, who must team up with Cassie Holmes (Dakota Fanning), a Watcher, and ex-girlfriend Alyssa English (Camilla Belle), a Pusher, and go on the run from Djimon Hounsou and his band of government licenced psychics.
“It’s grounded in the real underbelly of all this dark experimentation that was going on in the early ‘50s.” Says Evans, referring to Cold War experiments into psychic warfare.
The premise sounds promising and thanks to this exclusive pictures, we know it’s going to look good too. Push is released February 2.

Acho - have you been paid by Empire to advertise this film on their site? Everything about Push, the stars, the director, the plot, the photos, suggests mediocrity. Considering Push isn't released for another three months, it's very odd that Empire should be filling the website with drooling comments about how cool it may be ("most original thriller of 2009" appears to have been copyrighted by Empire for this) whilst also featuring a big preview in the magazine.
Should have 'Empir... Read More

uch cynicism. t was pretty clear from the Comic Con blogs that Empire were pleasantly taken by surprise by i]- surely better to be optimistic and give the film the benefit of the doubt in advance, rather than knock it? And if that vocal enthusiasm is rewarded with exclusive photos....all the better for us! ... Read More
