First Look At Dr Parnassus Online

Well, here's a treat. Terry Gilliam lets the world in on a few glimpses at his upcoming film, The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus. It's not quite a teaser trailer, more a quick synopsis of the story from Gilliam, along with a collection of concept art.

By the looks of this, we can expect the sort of giddy fantasy of The Adventures of Baron Munchausen or Time Bandits rather than his slightly more sensible films like 12 Monkeys. There are also brief glimpses of Heath Ledger, Lily Cole, Christopher Plummer as Parnassus himself, Verne Troyer and Andrew Garfield - but no hint at all as to how Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell will look.

 Check it out below.

Terry's Imagination
I have admired Terry Gilliam's work for many years now, starting with Monty Python. This film has the look of The Brothers Grimm about it. This film looks interesting and visually beautiful, and I can't wait to see Heath Ledger, and the other actors who replaced him. Anything with Johnny Depp, he has never made a bad movie, Colin Farrell and Jude Law are good as well. ... Read More

Sweet!
This actually looks rather interesting, it seems like something Tim Burton should have done, not necessarily a bad thing....I'm a fan of Gilliams work so I hope this is will be his best yet, should be very poignant due to Heath Ledger's posthumous presence ... Read More

I hate it when trailers say "beyond imagination", i really do. How can it be beyond imagination? It has been imagined hence how i'm watching the bloody thing! Saying that and considering all we saw were production designs and animatics it looks potentially bloody awesome. Though if I were Gilliam i'd have a word with the 2012 olympic committe... it seems they stole his design for a bus that opens into a stage. ... Read More
