Vin Diesel Is Back In XXX Action
Returning for more exxxtreme thrills

Vin Diesel Is Back In XXX Action
Like some sort of cinematic Robert The Bruce, Vin Diesel may have failed to replicate his early successes but, God bless him, he does keep on trying.

While The Chronicles Of Riddick and his rubbish comeback flick Babylon A.D. slammed a couple of unexpected nails in his career coffin, Vin The Man's return to the movies that made him showcases an admirable inability to call it a day.

Following hot on the heels of the upcoming Fast And Furious, in which he re-teams for more rubber-burning action with Paul Walker, Diesel has now signed up for a third XXX movie.

According to Variety, the shaven-headed action star and original director Rob Cohen (who himself must be feeling pretty humbled after The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor) are teaming up once more for XXX: The Return Of Xander Cage.

The 2002 original, which starred Diesel as an extreme sports enthusiast who gets drafted by the government for a dangerous mission, was a dumb-but-fun explosion fest and Diesel's reprisal of the role should act as penance for all those bad career choices (as well as helping to eradicate all memories of Ice Cube's po-faced sequel).

Revolution Studios, which owns the rights to the franchise, is currently in talks with Columbia but with both star and helmer on board it's a damn near certainty that this will see the light of day real soon.

Sean Valen
Diesel at least is giving us old fashioned action entertainment, we can't have comic book films ruling every summer, you need some variation, a summer film without a pop corn action filick, even if it's not meant to be so intelligent, but just harmless enjoyable fun. He may not have got everything right, but at least we got someone who's trying to continue the action heydays of Sly, Arnie and Bruce. Harrison Ford, Bruce Willis, Stallone and even Arnie-T4 cameo, have all gone back to fanchise ch... Read More

RE: xXx
Vin Diesel is like Hollywood's Jade Goody. Why people keep putting him in movies is beyond my comprehention. The Fast and The Furious was pretty good and Pitch Black was a cool little indie sci-fi flick. But nothing this guy's been involved in since has been anything less than a fart in an elevator ... Read More

RE: Wrong Sequel
Could this Xander be the late original Xander's evil twin? Could this be one of his adventures before he died? Could this be another nail in Vin's coffin? Vin, you need to find yourself a new agent, urgently! ]& t and the Furious 4You are currently making movies for a market niche that has no particular identity nor any special place for you left. Is it action movie, is it espionage, is it kick-ass, is it cars and skateboards, what is it? Whom do you wish to have for an audie... Read More

BOND, BOURNE AND ......DESPERATE?????
Seem to remember Diesel saying that the first XXX movie would end up being bigger than Bond... that it was more modern and more socially relevant .............. and then he dropped out of the sequel.... and now ....this? HAAAAAWWWWWW! Xander Cage is supposed to be dead - isn't he? To be fair, the first XXX did have one truly great action sequence in it. Compare the avalance chase in Diesel's film to the horrendous CGI rubbish that was in Pierce Brosnan's final James Bond effort ( Die Another Da... Read More
