A treat for Team Edward* this morning: here's an exclusive pic of Robert Pattinson on set of Twilight, the adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's bestselling vampire series.
The story follows 17 year-old Bella (Kirsten Stewart) as she moves to a new town and falls for a dark, mysterious type at her new school. Edward (Robert Pattinson), for it is he, turns out to be - wouldn't you know it - not an emo but a vampire. Like, bummer.
The books may not be high art, but they're terribly more-ish, with three sequels already published and a sidequel (Midnight Sun, which is Twilight from Edward's point of view instead of Bella's) planned. And frankly, we can totally see further sequels down the line, but that remains to be seen.
Film-wise, Twilight comes out here on January 9, which gives the hype lots of time to keep building.
Pick up the October issue of Empire for our feature on Twilight.
*Given what happens in Breaking Dawn, do Team Edward and Team Jacob still exist? Or have we all learned to get along?
Dear god, I like Twilight, RPattz (as he's known by twi-hards and twi-ts alike)makes with giggle with long repressed tween glee and all that...but please stop with your obsessive "next big thing" crap...and if it's making me cringe, you have to see you're hurting this film's slim chances to be taken seriously by the empire msgboarders, surely...no? No, still think obsessive posts lacking in logic'll work? Fair enough. Oh well, you can just ignore this and go back to your msgboard disc... Read More

I'm actually starting to feel sorry for ole' Robert Pattinson haha
Poor guy, all he set out to do was to entertain! And all he got in return was a barrell of abuse. Still, if he can face Volde.... sorry, he who must not be named and get away with it then im sure he can face the wrath of Empire readers.
Wait, he died by Voldermort didnt he?
Damnit.
Apparently, JK Rowling was so blown away by Pattinsons old school sex appeal, vers... Read More
I bought the issue, i've never bought an empire issue before, because films don't really interest me, though i am guilty of being an obsessed twilight fan,
And it says Bella is fourteen? and Edward hasn't aged since 1916.
Maybe i'm just being awkward, but bella is 18 and Edward "died" in 1918.
I loved the article though, i think everytime there's the littlest reference to twilight, i'll buy the mag.
Even if it does get somes things wrong.. :) ... Read More

So far I've seen mention of the words ]'wicked'posed quotes in refenece to this film/actor. I'm 26 and even I'm not that out of touch to think that any teenage girl actually uses these words in regular conversation. To quote the big guy himself..."By the way, if anyone here is in advertising or marketing, kill yourself. Thank you". ... Read More
After Pattinsons stellar performance in that Dali film, which is like the best thing in the world ever, and even seeing no pictures or footage, is surely oscar worthy, I heard he has been signed up to play Van Gogh.
Apparently the guy is such a method actor he has had his ear surgically removed, because "You know like, its gotta be real, man" ... Read More
