Exclusive: New Indiana Jones IV Image! Spalko and her men capture Indy
If you haven't yet got your copy of Empire's Super Bumper Enormo Grando Indiana Jones Special, then here's a little tease. Lucasfilm and Paramount have provided us with an exclusive new image from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which you can click below for a larger view.
The picture shows Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) and Mac (Ray Winstone) after being captured by Agent Spalko (Cate Blanchett) and her men. You can also see this photo in the new issue of Empire, on sale from Friday. the Attack of the Clone reffrence has due corse here. I also seem to remmeber that empire said SpiderMan3 didnt meet hype after they them selevs hyper it for month in thier mag and website. Stop worrying about this film guys its going to rock. At the very least its another Indy film so we should all be grateful. Also if its as good as Temple of Doom then it will be entertaining as that was the weakest of the original three yet its still light years ahead of some films we have had to endure. ... Read More

I seem to remember Empire reapprasing their reviews of the Star Wars prequels when they realised they'd got it horribly wrong. I do take issue with the way Empire will give shit films 3 stars purely because they happen to have been given access to filming for features etc but hey, it's a commercial world. If you want a balance of opinion go to Rotten Tomatoes. If you want great features read Empire.

I only use Attack of the CLones as an example because it's exactly the *kind* of film Empire seems to fall for. A franchise that captured the world decades ago so of course the new films MUST be great, right? It's a perfectly apt comparison so stop whining that I'm using it.

It IS Indy!!!! I'm sorry but if the best film mag can't get excited about one of the most entertaining film franchises in History then who can. I'm hoping this will be good, with the people involved I doubt it would be poor, but at the same time I'm not expecting miracles. And it will be a miracle if it manages to live to the expectations we have all built up in our heads. But we live in hope. It does feel like Empire are going nuts for this film just because Lucasfilm have given them some stuff to sell the mag.'s a piss take, right? Empire - a movie mag - "going nuts" for a new Indiana Jones film. What a crazy world we live in.
By the time the film comes out, the buzz around this film will be so big that it'll be mentioned in newspapers, it'll get mentioned on TV....

I like Empire, but I hope (at the very least) all this hype doesn't cloud their judgement when reviewing the damn thing. It's an easy target but forget 5 stars for Attack of the Clones?under the bridge perhaps, but it feels like history is repeating itself.
