Love Guru Trailer Online
Paramount has released the trailer for The Love Guru, the latest comedy from Mike Myers, which you can see here. Our verdict: pretty dang funny.

We don't know what the hell Myers' accent is, but we haven't yet visited all the countries in the world, so it's entirely possible that someone somewhere talks like that.

In the movie, Myers plays Pitka, a self-help guru who's employed to untangle the romantic knot of a professional hockey player (Romany Malco), whose wife (Meagan Good) has left him for another man (Justin Timberlake). Jessica Alba is in the mix too, pre-big giant baby bump.

This has a lot of hints of Austin Powers in tone and that's absolutely no bad thing. Also, Verne Troyer shows up and there are few things more amusing than very small people being hit in the head. One qualm: Did we need to see Justin Timberlake (who looks like he could be really funny in this) in little black nut-huggers? No. No, we did not.

RE:
L: Bluehawk Look kids, it's John Oliver!!! It's funnier than I expected it to be. Austin is simply brilliant, so it could never be the same. But it's near it...it's near... Thought I recognised that english bloke. One of the funniest political comics we have produced for a long time has sold his soul to the devil. I had tickets to see him and Andy Saltzman in Edinburgh the year before last but when we turned up he'd dumped Andy for the Americans. Damn your eyes sir! Oh it looks like... Read More

RE: The Love Guru
Oh dear, Please stop now Mike Myers. You were never funny and never will be. Waynes World was mildly amusing when I was 15 but only cos of the Bohemian Rhapsody bit and Austin Powers was drivel that made us Brits look like dicks, another mildly racist accent from myers fails to provide even the faintest of muscle spasms in my facial lip area.   Give it a rest. ... Read More

Are you serious, Olly? Pretty darn funny? Dear, sweet, keening Christos. Get off the drugs, man. This trailer is an embarassment from start to finish. Absolutely horrendous, lowest-common denominator, Joe American Moron BILGE. Telegraphed gags, midgets falling over, boner jokes, a terrible accent, the same faces he's been pulling since Wayne's World...change the record Mike. Chaaaaaange. ... Read More
