Exclusive: LaBeouf Talks Transformers 2
It's bigger, better, faster, stronger

Exclusive: LaBeouf Talks Transformers 2
Michael Bay said recently that he’d written an outline of the story for Transformers 2 and it seems that his leading man, Shia LaBeouf has been shown that story already. We caught up with the Transformers and Indiana Jones star earlier this week and he told us about what to expect.

“I know of a few things I have to work on for the next one,” said LaBeouf. “I’ve seen pre-vizes of the action scenes and I just saw Michael yesterday. It’s going to be bad-ass. We’re not making another one unless it is, and Mike is definitely not resting on his laurels — he’s doing insane shit again. And the pre-vizes that I’ve seen… it’s just massive. If the first one was any indicator of how massive massive can be, this is going to blow that out of the water. It’s insane. Mike’s mind was just kind of made for this — it’s amazing. There’s going to be a lot more characterisation with the robots, which I’m excited about. I was a fan of Transformers before the movie came out. And there’s going to be a lot of action…That goes unsaid, I guess”.

With the writers’ strike now thankfully over, Ehren Kruger, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman can start getting on with the script. They’d better get a move on, since the film is set to start shooting in less than four months for a June 26, 2009 release.

This early in the game, LaBeouf wouldn’t be drawn on exactly what scenes he’s preparing for, despite our threats to kick him in the shins and moans of “Awwww, you’re mean”. But he would say, “There’s gonna be new robots on both sides. I can say that the war isn’t over… It’s hard to do interviews when you’re not allowed to talk about the movies. It’s like I give two or three things away and then I get reprimanded for it. It’s never fun to get reprimanded by these people”.

We’ll try the shin kicking thing again to get more details.

I admit, I was never really into transformers. I knew enough, to know what to expect from the movie, and it was FRICKIN AMAZING!! I you think about it, the scale of the movie wasn't that big, but it totally rocked. SO, I have total faith that the next one is gonna be so much bigger!! ... Read More

ok
the transformers was great, but some critcs say it was silly, what do they expect, they said the same about ghost rider...IT WAS A COMIC!!!! not a novel for gods sake. this was based on a cartoon and figure series so of course it will be a bit far fetched but if it never followed the story then again it would have been slandered ... Read More

Surprising good!
I have to say I loved the cartoons and when I heard they were making a live action film I thought 'Oh here we go, let's go wreck something else...' but after seeing it in the cinemas I was hooked. I agree the action was very quick and you almost couldn't see some of the action but I think if it was slower and saw more it wouldn't have looked as real. After the initial viewing of the transformers I fell straight into it, believing they were actually there, and didn't think about it again for the... Read More

Wankformers, gizzum in disguise
It's gonna big bigger? Faster? Pack even more punch? Even more computers used to make these techno-titans? Stick it up your Batty Micheal Bay. The first one was supremely wank and this one will be too. Fuck brashness and direct it cleanly so it doesn't look so fuzzy it's like you're watching it through a coffee filter cone. 1/5. Very poor. Now piss off back to film school and turn them computers off. They're bad for the planet. ... Read More

Can't wait for this!!! I was with the crowd that hated the movie. Growing up with the cartoon the movie just didn't cut it even at 32 I just bought the Blu Ray Movie & it's still awesome. I rented to live action movie & thought... Ok forgot about the cartoon... Think of the live action as a completely new idea... & you know what... I loved it!! It is an awesome film in it's own right. ... Read More
